Peter Switchback would never follow his heart.  He knows that the heart can get a man into trouble.

Peter would only follow the conviction of the Holy Spirit.  That's a lot harder to do, but it works out a whole lot better in the end, he's always reckoned.

Peter would always choose to do his duty over his desires.  A free man works for a reason, he's always figured, and a man should be thankful for that.
